I'm still EXTREMELY angry about that phone call with my mother. She literally told me she would never respect my gender identity. First she cried tears that "it's so hard" to respect my gender and I told her BULLSHIT she's had 20 YEARS to get it and she still doesn't even make an effort. She kept saying she tries and I said how long am I supposed to wait to which she immediately replied "until I die." So how would you interpret that?? #transphobia
