@Daojoan I #transitioned, on the job, in the early Oughties, whilst working in Straya [where i live] for a large Merkan company. I was only their second-ever out trans employee, at that stage.
They were immensely supportive, from go to whoa, which is extra amazeballs when you consider that we were all making it up as we went along, wrt corporate policy.
They were not only accepting & supportive, but also generous in many ways, not the least being ample time off for my trips to Thailand for my various surgeries & recoveries at home after.
Given recent & contemporary Merka's descent into magamoron madness, i would have to suppose that were i only now needing to transition, the reaction prolly would be diametrically opposite.
I feel such despair & anxiety now for my Merkan trans cousins. ๐
