You can be a follower of Christ, or you can be a bigot who supports capitalist greed and blames vulnerable, marginalized populations for the fallout. Stop pretending to be both.

Sodom and Gomorrah was not destroyed over homosexuality, but over anti-socialist conservative policies.

“This was the sin of Sodom: arrogance, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy."
- Ezekiel 16:49

For several years in the midst of the Gay Nineties, our men's group enjoyed terrific Sunday brunches at the Elks' Club (Now the Mountain View Country Club) in Boalsburg. We were always treated pleasantly there, a happy change from venues such as the Autoport or the Allen Street Grill that weren't then as amenable to gay organizations. #gay #homosexual #gayrights #civilrights #equality #equalrights #sexism #racism #homophobia #xenophobia #bigotry #bigotryiswrong #scotusiscorrupt
Stonewall Uprising | American Experience | PBS

In 1969, homosexuality was illegal in almost every state... but that was about to change. The Stonewall riots marked a major turning point in the modern gay civil rights movement.

Oh but look, they raised a flag!

"Tanya Fir...
Who is a minister in a government that used the notwithstanding clause to rob parents of their rights to make informed medical decisions for children navigating gender dysphoria...
Would like to wish everyone a happy pride."

Thomas Yates, a gymnastics coach from Greater Manchester, has given blood sixteen times since the rules finally let him. A body once called too dangerous to donate, now keeping strangers alive. A new FAIR survey of 8,744 male donors found 7.5% now identify as bisexual, gay, pansexual, queer, bicurious, or sexually fluid — up from 1.8% in 2014. Banned outright in the 1980s, lifted in 2011 with a twelve-month abstinence rule, cut to three months in 2017. In 2021 England moved to behavior-based screening — risk by what you do, not who you love. They called our veins a hazard. Now they are somebody's second chance.

They called our blood a hazard on sight. England asked the right question instead of the bigoted one, and the banks filled. Gay and bi donors now make up 7.5% of male donors, up from 1.8% in 2014. Thomas Yates has donated 16 times. Inclusion turned out to be the same road as good science.
