'The human body does not behave like a bank account.

When you reduce calorie intake, the body adapts. Hunger signals increase. Metabolism shifts. Hormones push back. This is precisely why calorie-controlled diets fail so reliably and why the majority of people regain weight—often with interest.

The much bigger problem is what we are eating, not how much appears on the plate at any one moment.
