Faranno marcia indietro oltre 4mila soldati Usa della brigata "Black Jack" che avrebbero dovuto stabilizzarsi in Polonia e in altre zone orientali del confine Nato. Il dispiegamento è infatti stato sospeso dalla Casa Bianca, nonostante la maggior parte dell'unità sia già arrivata sul territorio.
Non è chiaro se la scelta possa subire ulteriori sviluppi, ma finora il comandante della Marina Javan Rasnake ha affermato che il dipartimento della Difesa "non ha nulla da annunciare al riguardo, al momento". Lo scenario arriva dopo che l'esercito Usa aveva annunciato l'intenzione di ritirare circa 5mila soldati dalla Germania.
