WASHINGTON (STATI UNITI) (ITALPRESS) – Il Pentagono ha ordinato il dispiegamento in Medio Oriente di circa 2.000 soldati dell'82^ Divisione Aviotrasportata dell'Esercito “per fornire al Presidente Trump ulteriori opzioni militari, mentre valuta una nuova iniziativa diplomatica con l'Iran”. Lo hanno riferito ai media americani funzionari del Dipartimento della Difesa, sottolineando che si tratta di militari della “Forza di Risposta Immediata” della divisione, una brigata di circa 3.000 soldati in grado di essere schierati ovunque nel mondo entro 18 ore. Altri militari della brigata, evidenzia il “New York Times”, potrebbero essere inviati nei prossimi giorni. Considerando anche i circa 4.500 Marines già in viaggio verso la regione, il dispiegamento delle forze d'èlite dell'Esercito americano porta il numero totale di truppe di terra aggiuntive inviate nella zona di guerra dall'inizio del conflitto, il 28 febbraio, a quasi 7.000 unità.

WASHINGTON (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – The Pentagon has ordered the deployment of approximately 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army to the Middle East “to provide President Trump with additional military options, while evaluating a new diplomatic initiative with Iran.” Defense Department officials told American media, emphasizing that these are military personnel from the division’s “Immediate Response Force,” a brigade of approximately 3,000 soldiers capable of being deployed anywhere in the world within 18 hours. Other members of the brigade, the “New York Times” highlights, could be sent in the coming days. Considering also the approximately 4,500 Marines already en route to the region, the deployment of the U.S. Army’s elite forces brings the total number of additional ground troops sent to the conflict zone since the beginning of the conflict, February 28, to almost 7,000 units.
