You know what I love? Seeing -rc1 of a piece of software I love using. #SwayWm in this case.

All of my computing experience for the past decades has been in Linux/#FOSS. It's not *always* smooth, but I at least I never had to worry about new popups/dark patterns trying to get me to accept data collection/sharing or some other infuriating Big Tech move.

Just things getting slightly better with each release. A feature here, a bugfix there. Occasional new bugs (oh well, I know how that happens)

BTW: we have a new team member, who is working on porting nwg-shell components written in Go to Rust, and the results are encouraging. Jason Herald, welcome onboard!

Recently discovered #niri after seeing if I could get away with a minimal #Linux setup running #swaywm. Niri is such a cool workflow!

I've added waybar too, but it's feeling a little but pointless at the moment. What's the point in a bar these days?

Tem sido uma experiência interessante configurar o #swaywm. Minha primeira experiência com WM foi com o #i3wm há muito tempo e usei por pouco tempo.
@rootsandcalluses wish I could help more. Try raising an issue on the #swaywm git.
I've been using #niri for a while now on Debian 13 and I couldn't figure out how to get scratchpad functionality.
It's something I got used to using #swaywm and I missed it. I couldn't get relatively popular niri-scratchpad or niri-scratchpad-rs to work.
Then I discovered nirius and it works beautifully; just as expected! So if you would like scratchpads in niri I can highliy recommend this.

Set up sway on Arch, and getting down to more serious changes. Next, changing the config for the Foot terminal, setting up waybar, and then updating software. The fun of linux is in learning to customize my OS. Final, is to decide on vim with jedi, each, or another for continuing my learning path with python.
