Finally upgraded my main #Linux machine to #Kubuntu 26.04 (Resolute Raccoon 🦝) running Plasma 6.6 and nothing looks broken so far. Tried the new #OCR feature in Spectacle and it works wonderfully. Can’t wait until this feature also lands in Gwenview.

Похоже, настала и мне пора перейти на 64-битную архитектуру и не выпендриваться. И к компьютеру начать относиться как к просто бытовому прибору, а не чему-то важному в жизни.

AltLinux p10 в 32-битном исполнении совсем глючна и неудобна. Поэтому я вернулся обратно на OpenSuse. Поставил себе 15.5 версию. Она, конечно, старовата на 3 года, но зато ядро 5.14 должно нормально поддерживать чтение/запись в reiserfs 3.6.

От KDE тоже пришлось отказаться. Последние версии совсем плохи, неудобные и сырые. Как будто кто-то целенаправленно деградирует эту оболочку.

I got approved earlier today and I had to take a photo as the emails came in, since Akademy 2026 will be my first FOSS conference.

Not just that, but this is the first time I've ever been sponsored for an event and will be the first time I'll have a birthday (22nd of September) abroad! Cannot imagine a better occasion for these firsts than Akademy 2026.
