If you'd be interested in learning fascinating stuff about #snakes, I've got a treat for you. A very cool conversation between #scientists researching topics related to their wellbeing, personalities, and psychological development. The leading topic is about enclosures, but it is filled to the brim with cutting edge knowledge about snakes and their behaviour. I cannot recommend it enough.

The popular narrative that #scientists will come up with conclusions that fit the funders needs does not happen in my experience.

Oil companies hired environmental scientists to look into global warming and they certainly did not get the answer they wanted.

I was hired on a project funded by Eli Lilly many years ago and they did not get the answer they were hoping for. They did appreciate the honesty and integrity, plus in depth discussions about why it didn't pan out as they thought. We did get further funding to see if it would be possible to get closer to their desired scenario, with the caveat that there were no guarantees. Unfortunately for them it still had issues and they eventually shelved it.

Have had many other dealings with commercial projects over many years and they have always appreciated honesty. Did convince one company that they would be wasting their money.

Certain that most people working in #science would do the same.
