Bummer. Our redcurrants are shedding their fruit, almost all of them. The small unripe fruits just drop off.

The bush is healthy and has loads of leaves, had a rich bloom and was buzzing with pollinators, so I guess the weather swings we've had must be to blame. Didn't get the late frost of last year but we had a warm spell followed by a cold spell with extreme rain.

Its both bushes on opposite ends of the garden too. One is doing slightly better than the other which shed all fruits that I could see.

Oh well, gardening includes some losses.

First garden harvest of this year! These redcurrants come from a bush that was already here when we bought the house. We need to do some work around where it is planted and I really hope the bush survives because it seems to really like that spot.

We also planted raspberries and gooseberries, which are also growing fruit despite only having been in the soil for about two months 😄
