TomI racked the blackberry melomel (mead) into a carboy. Since the fruit was in a bag this process just removes seeds which were the only thing left in the bag. I topped it up with 1 cup of water, 15 grams of bentonite, and less than 100 grams of honey. The top of the carboy volume is always deceiving.

I couldn't believe the sunset that day, and when I saw deer walk by I couldn't help but try and get some photos. I approached them slowly and they all let me get very close. This deer took a break from eating her blackberries so I could get this shot.
