Given that Firefox’s entire USP on Android is that it’s an open-source, privacy-respecting alternative for those avoiding #Google (and open-source, privacy-conscious users often run non-stock Android) it’s a move that, short of further explanation, rubs some the wrong way.

RCS is once again the bane of my existence. My backup iPhone apparently made it so that the group chat with the girls got upgraded to RCS. Now that I am on my new LineageOS phone, I no longer have RCS support. Instead of failing gracefully to MMS, I am just no longer able to receive messages from the group. Recreating it doesn't work, either.

I wish I could just convince them to switch to Signal.

Hmmmmm, so #LineageOS is great, but it does present one issue. While I can install APKs with no issue, one in particular doesn't like to run; CashApp.

While I can do some operations with the web interface of cash.app, it doesn't seem to provide all necessary functions.

SO.... do I withdraw all my funds from CashApp and close my account or what?

First impressions of #LineageOS on a #Google #Android phone looks solid. Installation was relatively simple, wasn't bothered to log into some third party service on set up, and photo gallery doesn't pester you to send your data to some unknown party to be stored in who-knows-where.
