@WorldTravelerAll7 oh there are others: #UbuntuTouch and #PostmarketOS come to mind as does #eOS, #Calyx, #LineageOS, #Volla OS come to mind for the AOSP based fraction. Alternatives aplenty, but what works for you, you'll have to eventually figure out yourself. Its a voyage, not something you can just plunge into and expect to just work. That is setting yourself up for frustration. It will take time, money and effort.

I've managed to get /e/OS on my Pixel 3a after a bit of blood, sweat, and command line wizardry.

With that said... Oh my god I think I love this thing. This is *exactly* what I've wanted from a mobile OS in a long, long, long, LONG time!

And I didn't need to be locked into Apple's ecosystem to get to this point - built in anti Google *and* tracker blocker OS wide?!??!? Are you freaking kidding me??!?

Na 8 maanden proberen heb ik gisteren mijn telefoon (Xiaomi Poco X3) toch maar overgezet van Ubuntu Touch naar #eOs. Op zich werkte UT best redelijk, maar er waren wel erg weinig apps voor. Dat was wel weer te omzeilen door Waydroid, maar daar ging de batterij wel snel van leeg. Meestal was ik in de loop van de middag wel weer aan de lader toe. Ook konden zowel UT als Waydroid maar beperkt van de camera gebruik maken (niet alle lenzen)

Installed e/OS on my spare phone. Let's see how this works out. #eOS #DeGoogle

Interestingly, aside from some custom roms on XDA, only e/OS seems to offer a working rom for my Oneplus Nord (Avicii). No Ubuntu Touch support, nor PostmarketOS, even LineageOS does not support this phone anymore.

@shortyx42 I'm using #Fairphone with #eOS from #murena. I think it's hard to buy apps without a google login. But you can download via Aurora Store, App Lounge and f-droid. I use CoMaps and HereWeGo for maps. Vivaldi and Waterfox for browser. Tuta for mail. Proton and pCloud for image/photo sync a la iCloud. Etc etc. Feel free to ask me about stuff... I tested Deutsche Bahn for someone a while back 😅 even though I don't live in Germany.
