Well I have years worth of photographs to share, so expect copious amounts of Bristol photographs in the near future!

Honestly, I've been really lacking in motivation to do any photography for pleasure over the past couple of years - and I think to some extent that's not a surprise when my artistic outlet is also my profession. But I think another part of the reason for it is that social media has become such a hellscape. I used to really enjoy being part of the photography community on Instagram; posting my photographs and also seeing so many other people's work felt really collaborative and inspiring.

I'm hoping pixelfed might be able to fill the gap that was left as Instagram became more and more corporate feeling. I want a new medium for artistic expression, and I want to feel inspired damnit!

Anyway, this one's from a cloudy harbourside walk in Bristol, taken all the way back in 2022.

Big walk yesterday along the #harbourside at Shoal Bay, out of the wind. We went east in the morning, and west in the afternoon. Beautiful winter sun showing so many shades of blue & green as the #waves rolled in. Some dolphins chasing a shoal of fish through the breaking waves around #sunset, far too quick for me to capture with my phone.
