It's rather blustery on the Bristol/Somerset border.

Breaking News

@Shobeck I have also complained to the ICO about #Bristol City Council.

My last FoI to them (which was about waste management enforcement) took over a month for a response.

I currently have the same request lodged with Stoke on Trent.

I hope it will show how much better S-o-T is doing than its counterpart on the muddy banks of the Avon.

PS: I should add that it's been years since I've had a reply to a Freedom of Information request to #Bristol City Council within the statutory 20 working days' period.

Letting the statutory term lapse without providing a reply seems to be standard council working practice despite it being reprimanded for doing so by the Information Commissioner's Office.

Anyone would think BCC likes keeping people in the dark and/or has lots to hide.

Meanwhile in FoI request obstruction land...

"Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Bristol City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Break down costs for failed sale of Bottle Yard Studios'.

This information request was made in November. It is now April.

The information is at your fingertips. I can only conclude that your failure to provide it is deliberate obstruction.

If you can't provide it within 14 working days, I shall assume you have decided to conceal what should be in the public domain and will launch a complaint to the Information Commissioner."
