A quick trip into the city of Bristol confirms my assertion that it's always sunny in the West Country. It was amazingly warm for a January day.

When the water level changes on #Bristol #floatingHarbour, my #houseBoat mooring ropes’ either tighten or slacken. This means the boat then moves around less or more with currents, waves, and wind. I often only notice the level has changed because we start drifting in and out or oscillating fore and aft. I’m noticing it even less since I replaced the bumpers with new tyres.

Just enjoying the sunny #BankHolidayWeekend watching people go past on tour boats and ferries on #Bristol #FloatingHarbour.

I remember someone, maybe it was #EddieIzzard, talking about waving to people, and since moving to my boat I've taken on the task with relish.

If I see there are kids on an approaching boat I'll make sure I'm somewhere they can see me and, if they make eye contact, or wave themselves, I'll wave until they're out sight.

This is how I have #fun.

Bristol's Floating Harbour tends to accumulate silt, from its feeder sources. So, every so often, the sluices are opened, to scour the silt out into the R. Avon.
