Maintaining a community workforce in low-resources settings is challenging. Okech et al. conducted a quasi-experiment in Uganda to evaluate different incentive and performance-based approaches. A mix of stipends and performance-based incentives seem to be most effective. Check it out here:

Staying on #Nurses, NCLEX is the standard in most provinces. Discussions happening about advanced practice, such as CRNA, require faculty, etc.
My first clues about this election would play out was a #BCCons door-knocker duo last spring/early summer.
The one was clearly training in the other, who gave me their pitch, which targeted the #BCNDP on health care topics, particularly Health Care Workers #HCW numbers and training, and number of clinics and hospital beds.
My partner is a #Nurse researcher at #UBC. I have inside information. Nearly every statement they made was provably false.
They grilled me when I said that.
