“È stato molto dolce. Jannik è stato gentilissimo con mia figlia. Lei è diffidente verso chiunque, spero che più avanti si renda conto di chi le stava parlando“. Belinda Bencic batte Amanda Anisimova al Masters 1000 di Miami, ma nel post gara uno dei primi pensieri va a Jannik Sinner. Nonostante il successo in due set, infatti, a suscitare l’interesse del pubblico e della giornalista nel corso della classica intervista in campo post gara è stato quanto accaduto con il tennista italiano nel pre gara.
Prima della sfida contro Corentin Moutet, il numero due al mondo ha passato alcuni attimi con la figlia di Belinda Bencic, che solo pochi giorni fa ha vinto il torneo di doppio misto a Indian Wells con Flavio Cobolli. Momenti teneri, con Sinner che è andato a salutare la tennista svizzera, in quel momento impegnata a giocare con la figlia in un prato, con un pallone da calcio. A quel punto l’altoatesino si è fermato a parlare con la bambina, passandole anche la palla per giocare insieme. La bimba lo ha prima guardato con sguardo incerto, poi ha sorriso. Infine l’azzurro l’ha salutata facendole una carezza tra i capelli. Sinner è poi arrivato sul Centrale, vincendo contro Corentin Moutet al terzo turno del Masters 1000 di Miami per 6-2, 6-4.
In alcuni video successivi si vede Sinner riscaldarsi palleggiando con un pallone, con anche buona destrezza tecnica. Immagini che hanno scatenato l’ironia del pubblico in vista della prima sfida play–off della nazionale italiana di Rino Gattuso per strappare il pass per i Mondiali contro l’Irlanda del Nord, in programma il 26 marzo a Bergamo: “Caro Gattuso, mentre tu convochi Barella e compagnia per salvarti ai playoff… noi qui abbiamo già il fenomeno pronto. Peccato giochi a tennis”, scrive qualcuno sotto il video.

Before the match against Corentin Moutet, the world number two spent a few moments with Belinda Bencic’s daughter, who just a few days ago won the mixed doubles tournament in Indian Wells with Flavio Cobolli. Tender moments, with Sinner going to greet the Swiss tennis player, who at that time was playing with her daughter on a lawn with a football. Images that unleashed the irony of the public in view of the first play-off match for the Italian national team led by Rino Gattuso to snatch the pass to the World Championships against Northern Ireland, scheduled for March 26th in Bergamo: “Dear Gattuso, while you summon Barella and company to save you in the playoffs… we already have the phenomenon ready here.
