Poke Brunch? Poke brunch! @sebalicious and I grew up in Hawaii and have very high standards when it comes to poke, and I must say this was genuinely the BEST poke I have ever had in my life! We made quite the spread, including Wasabi Yuzu Salmon poke, Shout Chili Crisp Tuna poke, Spicy Kani Salad, Seaweed Salad, fresh steamed rice seasoned with shizo furikake, and (because no brunch is complete without them) POG (passion fruit, orange, and guava) and dragon fruit mimosas! This was a beautifully nostalgic and mouthwateringly DELICIOUS meal!

1) #Kimochi #SilverBells Christmas sale - it has been going on annually for years and I never paid much attention. It’s kind of amazing.
2) Bought local 5-year-aged #Umeboshi, Ume paste with shiso seeds, local #Miso & #tamari (byproduct of making the miso), #Local #Furikake from the #ume farmer, and some handmade #ramen bowls that are simple and lovely…
3) Cooked dinner with our haul! (Used the precious stuff sparingly.)

#vegan #donuts from Little Vessels in #honolulu. They aren’t open every day, but well worth the trip. Standouts were the #miso #caramel #furikake and the #lemon #black #sesame. Get there early if you can because a line will start to form before they open.
