1. I love, love, love having my own garden, finally. Being able to pick vegetables & berries on my doorstep has been a dream for more years than I dare admit.

2. Close friends who I've known for years, who are encouraging me as I set up the #ReadyandResilient Hour series.

3. Being settled in a real home, where I know the sounds of 10 different species that live among Us.

1. Had the bathroom and kitchen professionally cleaned on Monday, including all the ceiling fans. The difference is remarkable.

2. Had the grass mowed this morning by a local fellow. It hadn’t been cut since last September when my brother last took care of it.

3. Coming here for two months to sort through things was absolutely the right decision. While I can’t move the heavy items, I’ve been able to bag, box, and donate many useful things to local charities.

Bonus: The cooler Upper Michigan weather has been a welcome change, though we’re expecting a high of 99°F next Monday. With no air conditioning, those freshly cleaned fans are about to earn their keep!

1. My ADHD victory for the day was marking 79 RSS feed items as read without looking at them. 👀

2. I made tons of progress on my alt-text article tonight (finally!).

3. My homemade seitan sandwich for dinner was so on point that I’m now hypnotized by it. Like. I’m gearing up to have it for breakfast and lunch tomorrow as well.
