ROOTS alumnus Paweł Cembrzyński has been granted funding for a five-year research project from the National Science Centre Poland (NCN). Using the example of a border region between Silesia and Lesser Poland between the 12th and 17th centuries, he will investigate how mining and metallurgy changed settlement patterns and the natural environment, and what role capitalism played in these changes.
Congratulations, Paweł!
