I must reassure the orb that gives us day shine that she is not alone. I've done so since I was 15. Most days, anyway, when I was capable and those days I didn't, you don't want to know the catastrophe. Rain or shine, whether I was up all night with worry, whether I had to wait some few hours, or whether I was pleasantly distracted and had to break off at an in opportune moment. Such rigidity plays havoc with flexible schedules and getting the sleep I need. Yes, I do often go back to sleep after greeting the dawn—if certain ministers and taskmasters allow. A post on X has brought familiar, dishonest accusations against eco-socialists into the Canadian NDP leadership contest. The immediate target of the accusations is leadership candidate Avi Lewis, but the real aim is taking shots at a movement that integrates multiple radical perspectives, challenging both right-wing social democrats and a “Promethean” male left.
