Update 3: Blue’s had to go to the emergency room. It cost $2,800 for the visit. I have covered this cost. Don’t worry, I’ll be ok. Now all that’s left is the tooth extractions, which will be roughly $1,800 to $2,000.

Been home from the dentist for about an hour or so now. The appointment went a LOT better than expected, at least for today.

They are referring me to an endodontist for what will likely be a root canal on one of my front teeth that I'm not excited about at all.

After that, at some point, I need to have some gum grafting done in two different spots, which will be done across two different appointments that will be about 4 - 6 weeks apart.

For me, I'll be heading to the dentist to get a major cleaning done where they pull the gums from your teeth and clean deeply. Getting the right side done this time. I'll be totally numb for several hours.

Took the day off today and tomorrow for this, so not much else is planned.

Hey non-USA folks: anytime anyone says American healthcare is great tell them your boy Chang says NO IT FUCKIN' AIN'T!!! I just had to shell out $1,000 for 3 fillings to be replaced. Bad teeth or not that's insane. If I had insurance it wouldn't even be covered because most insurance excludes dental & vision. Because eyes & teeth fall out I guess they're not the same as your lungs & heart?

My wisdom teeth were removed with no real problems at all! I'm feeling pretty alright with like...no swelling at all and I'd say minimal pain so far. I have Ibuprofin and Hydrocodone to help me out when it gets a bit rough, and my partner's here for the next few days to look over me and take care of me and stuff.

I was VERY anxious leading up to this, especially because my computer shit the bed this week and I spent a LOT of money on data recovery that will hopefully recover a lot of my data. We'll see. But it's been a pretty alright recovery so far, and I'm sticking to all soft foods and a ROYAL FUCKTON OF PUDDING for the next while.

One thing that DID go wrong though? The oral surgeon couldn't for the life of him find a vein for the IV. He poked me at least three times and couldn't find it until he went to put it in my hand, and I was already freaking out and the heart monitor was beeping faster and-
