Modern computers generate a great deal of heat when under load, thus we cool them with fans and sometimes even water cooling systems. [Doug MacDowell] figured that water was alright, but why not use coffee instead?

Not so fast. The coolant is in a closed loop system. The necessity for more coolant might indicate a leak. Moreover, there's a min and a max line on the reservoir. If you're not under the min line, I'd say it is unlikely that adding coolant will fix the problem. There can be a host of other issues.

You know who knows something about cars? Me. I'm no mechanic, but I've run wires in cars, replaced rotors and brake pads, and noticed when mechanics were blowing smoke up my arse.

I told him to call me next time something like this happens. He texted me, but he had already stopped to buy coolant.

The situation on the Vulpibus is never cheap it seems, though we have managed to get some things for free there's some we don't expect to be free at all.

A towing dolly for our car to be pulled behind the bus
Oil filter
A full engine check and service to deduce where coolant is leaking

Can we say $2000 to cover most of this?

We are still months away from me getting employed in a job where the pay will be something but not exactly much in the face of inflation.
