Coming off the AI Maddeness Bye Week

I gave myself a few things to do during the bye week and I’m happy to report I got more than half of them done.

I’m playing #StarTrek (2013) a lot recently. It’s a fast shooter with an easy rule set and a fair difficulty level. All major shots are easy to hit
(maybe except the warp ramp) and if you miss you’ll probably bash into something else. Only downside are the interchangeable missions (Klingon Battle? Prime Directive? Just hit the flashing ramps) and the rather low Trek vibes which are kind of fine for me, cause I don’t care so much for Kelvin Trek anyway.

New #ARM #SBC from #Radxa the Dragon Q6A to feed my little addiction and something I grabbed before RAM prices even wreck that hobby.

Should be interesting being the first SBC with an Qualcomm SoC. Will be a lot fun thing with #Batocera and should be way faster then the PI4 I use for that.

As a weekend project, I'm going to install a fourth Linux distro on my desktop PC to get some gaming going! Batocera is a Linux distro that supports over 220 gaming platforms and consoles, including MS-DOS, PS1-PS4, and various controllers directly.

I've built a couple of custom handheld consoles for retro gaming using RetroArch and EmulationStation, and we have an arcade machine with a JAMMA circuit board at the office, but I haven't tried Batocera before. Let the games begin!
