But also I was raised among the most obvious and paternalistic arrogance of "I know this church is true" ringing in my ears from all sides. The certainty that people crave and cling to, and in turn lecture and enlighten all the lost sheep. The arrogance to tell POC that their own historical traditions are wrong and some white aldulturer's extremely violent but somehow boring fanfic is their actual history. Maybe I just needed this extremely obvious example smacked across my face to get it.
Because that arrogance still manages to stick around in "ex" communities and broader liberalism. Deconstruction is about learning to be humble enough to be curious again. Simple curiosity and a few honest "I don't knows" would solve a lot of the worlds problems right now.
You also have to be against capitalism, because capitalism is a root cause for so many problems in this world, including the massive destruction of the environment, unethical behaviour of millionaires and billionaires, poverty, famine, wars and so on.
We need a different economy system, and there are also interesting concepts out there, like de-growth and zero growth and the „Doughnut Economics“ (see the same called non-fiction book by Kate Raworth).

New policy: When someone says or does something antisemitic, I will explain it to them calmly and openly once.
Only once though.
If they do the same thing again later, no "And you did the same thing again" and no "Let me try explaining again."
And if their response includes the words "for you" as in "I'll delete this social media post for you.", that's a giant waving red flag.
