This morning’s class on Lee Maracle’s splendid 1993 novel Ravensong focuses on bringing Indigenous ways of knowing and storying into dialogue with disciplinary knowledge-making, settler-colonial institutions, and what it means to learn on unsurrendered land (the mandate of the course)—but this part of the novel also introduces two remarkable Two-Spirited characters (Rena and Nora) and Squamish Two-Spirit story.
