Sigh. The #AIbots are running amok again. I need to update my network protections on https://opencontext.org

If there was any genuine "I" in "AI", the bots would skip the slow and costly random crawl of our website. If they really wanted gobs of #archaeology data describing random broken bits of pottery and sheep/goat bones, they should be smart enough to do a simple bulk download of our #opendata.

This #aibubble can't burst fast enough.

I received an e-mail from openai that they changed my e-mail preferences for me. I was a bit surprised, but it seems that I actually did create a free account in 2022 that I never used.
I proceeded to cancel the account and got the cloudflare challenge when logging in.
I wonder if they block themselves, seeing that they operate one of the most malicious and destructive botnets around.
