haui ☭🇵🇸okay so first issue: #anubis seems to break #fedilab at least in the configuration we are using by looking at the user agent. this is no problem for forgejo because it does not use an app. We might be able to exclude the fedilab agent and other apps as needed. But first we need to know if there are other issues.

Think about it: I need to protect all my sites that don't just deliver plain HTTP files with #Anubis these days. Non of the fucking #AI scrapers obeys robots.txt (the equivalent of "pretty please"). Anubis is reasonable on my resources, but tough on users resources.
I can very much understand that people just have it and actively fight back. Can't win otherwise on unequal ground. The other party broke the moral contract first.
#adminpost we have started to get over 1 million requests per day on the #mastodon server with only 3000 individual visitors. We have now deployed #anubis. Lets see how badly we fucked up the service. Let us know if things start failing.
