You know I actually made 2 different enemy types for the #firefly game prototype and the more I mess with them, the more I like the more animated and crazed a.i. instead of the zombie like a.i. for the reavers that I showcased in the previous video... Here's an updated video clip with the adjusted reaver a.i.
Had some time and decided to build a prototype based on the sci-fi show #firefly to learn some of the new features in #unrealengine5
This took about 5 hours to build out. Used some of the new sound features, landscaping features, Niagara features in unreal 5 in this test.
I see it still takes forever to process uploaded video on #mastodon - waited for about 5 min for a 20 MB MP4 to process and it never did. I'm curious to see what it's actually doing.
Might look up the GitHub and check the code. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that it's built on rails. I always found rails so slow compared to python or straight up JavaScript frameworks.

#unrealengine developer and community question - I have an Nvidia rtx3090 and with prime day coming up was looking at maybe upgrading to a rtx 4070 super ti but after looking at the specs it actually might be a downgrade in regards to unreal development... It has less memory and less cuda cores than the rtx 3090!!
What are your thoughts? Anyone moved from a rtx 3090 to a 4070 super ti?

Don't you hate when someone parks literally kissing your car bumper... I have a neighbor, who without fail, parks like this when they park next to me.
It especially bothers me when I can see how much space they have behind their car.
