A weekend with #8bit computing!
Trying out some new demos and games on the #Mega65 and of course I copy everything that works onto a 3.5" #floppy.
Playing #megachase, a game written in #BASIC65 while listening to Bill Gates memoir "Source Code: My Beginnings".
So #BASIC, #8bitcomputing and #retrocomputing is very much a theme to this saturday!
The easy part of doing the #retrocomputing stuff is the collecting and copying software. The hard part is to actually take the time needed learn and create something for myself.
So now I really need to start learning #6502 (45GS02) #ASM and practicing my #BASIC skills on the #Mega65 because that's why I bought it.
Thankfully @dddaaannn has made both an #assembler software and and the introduction to it. https://dansanderson.com/mega65/introducing-easyasm/
Tried out the newly released #GUI64 for the #Commodore64 today from https://github.com/WebFritzi/GUI64
Works like a charm on the #Mega65 with the #C64 core!
But I haven't yet connected any SD2IEC-device to try that out though.
It's a simple yet elegant UI.
My #Mega65 got a new badge today. Hope I'm not getting keelhauled by the community now for choosing a #Commodore65 badge ;)
