ICYMI - 8bit Computer Club
We dive deep into Issue 50 of Compute's Gazette (Sprite Magic, MultiSprite, Sprite Stamp) - Demos from The Scene and more,
I've been experimenting with C using llvm-mos for the Commander X16 over the last week, and have managed to get a pretty good sprite system up and running using Shinobi sprites ripped from the arcade ROM.
Joe is made up of two sets of sprites, top and bottom.
I don't know if this will turn into something yet, but it's pretty cool to see an 8-bit system do stuff like this.
Do you know if there are fonts in UTF8 for the C128 80 columns character set?
I found some Amiga Topaz font reproductions for now.

People ask me how I do my epic software archaeology projects.
So when I spent seven months over the winter documenting Geoff Crammond’s epic game The Sentinel, I kept a diary of pretty much everything that I did.
It’s not exactly Samuel Pepys, but it does explain exactly how I disassembled and documented this #8bit classic:

I also talk about the tools and methods I use, and how I keep track of progress as I slowly work through the code.
I hope you enjoy it!
Home Computer Setup #1: AMSTRAD CPC 464 ❤️🕹

"The fifth quadrant", I played this with a pirated copy without a manual, that doesn't make really a difference because the manual says little or nothing about the game mechanics.
I would really liked try to finish it, but never fully managed to figure out the code system, and the manual itself doesn't give hints about how it works.

DESCRIPTION The Fifth Quadrant is an Adventure game, developed and published by Bubble Bus, which was released in 1987.
