NMH BASIC III, the latest version of my tiny BASIC interpreter, now supports baudot-encoded units (files, devices) in the assembly-language CP/M version:

So you can in theory save programs to 5-channel paper tape.
I have not tested this yet, because I still have to find a way to connect my paper tape punch to a CP/M computer, but the encoding itself looks OK.

Pitihän se testata myös WordStar. Game of Thrones -kirjojen kirjottaja George R.R. Martin käyttää tätä edelleen, joskin MS DOS versiota. Pystyy kuulemma paremmin keskittymään itse kirjoittamiseen kun ei ole turhia krumeluureja ympärillä. Pitäisi jostain löytää vanha Centronics liitäntäinen tulostin, niin pääsisi testaamaan tulostamista. Mieluiten "daisy wheel" tyyppinen, mutta kai pistematriisikin kelpaisi. Tähän saa SPP adapterin jolla homma hoituisi.😝🤪

The Z80 version of my tiny BASIC interpreter can now be downloaded from my homepage:

It is about three times faster than the version written in T3X/0 and needs only 14K bytes of free memory -- and I have not even started to squeeze out bytes.
On an 7.4MHz RC2014 you can now play mine sweeper at a decent speed.
There may be minor bugs in this version, but it seems to run all example programs without trouble.

The Z80 port of my minimal BASIC interpreter is now successfully running minesweeper and all the other example programs on a real CP/M system (RC2014). There are still a few minor bugs to iron out, but most of the work is done.
Total size (so far): about 4200 lines of assembly language and a 6KB binary.
Provides plenty (7.5KB) of program memory on a system with 16KB of TPA.
