GitLab CE is a complete source management and CI/CD solution, available under the MIT license.
I started using hosted GitLab for all of my repositories when GitHub was acquired by Microsoft last year, and I've found it to be every bit as capable for all my SCM needs. GitLab also boasts a full-fledged deployment chain, which means I no longer need Travis CI or Docker Hub for building and deploying my software.

TeXstudio is one of many great editors for creating rich text documents with LaTeX.
TeX has been around for almost 40 years and is still one of the best tools for creating professional documents, reports and books. LaTeX provides an expressive syntax and packages for creating nice formatting, tables, math formulas, reference lists, and pretty much anything with very a few sprinkles of inline code.

I am extremely lucky to have experienced all the nice moments with developers as well as devs and other people simply curious about the engine!
