I am using #Pop_OS #Linux with #Cosmic for a while now. For everyday's work it's wonderful. But software like #Inkscape #Tenacity #Ardour etc. keep crashing all the time and are barely usable. Does anyone has made the same experience?

Text und Musik sind von einem Menschen (mir) erstellt worden. Die Bilder hab ich von einer KI erstellen lassen, ja ich weiß, das soll man nicht tun... Das ganze ist mit dem wunderbaren Sequenzer #ardour erstellt und mit #kdenlive visualisiert worden.

Linux Programme als Alternative zu Windows Programmen.
Je mehr ich recherchiere, je mehr fällt mir auf, dass meine Quellen oft nicht gut recherchiert haben. Anscheinend schreibt der Eine von dem Anderen einfach nur ab.
Daher kursieren auch immer die gleichen #Programme als Alternative.
Beispiel:
#DAW > zu 99% wird Reaper empfohlen, obwohl noch nicht mal Open Source. Ich nutze #Ardour.
#Bildbearbeitung > RawTherapee oder Darktable. Ich nutze #Art.

The Wayland compositor #phoc saw some workspace related improvements but the major changes affect the handling of override-redirect windows in #X11 applications. This allows X11 applications like #emacs, #ardour, etc. to work better. We also updated to #wlroots 0.19.3.

@mosgaard interesting to read how functionality shapes our creativity.
With Harrison #mixbus I am in the process of understanding how the DAW wants to be utilized instead of me forcing it to adhere to my habits. So-called Region FX (now also in #Ardour) are helping, but I‘m still slowly learning the ins and outs (literally).
It‘s fun having a new learning curve after about 10 years on basically the same DAW.
