I'm Marshall Needleman Armintor, & I'm a Principal Lecturer and Grad Advisor in English at UNT.
After doing a lot of theory and British Modernism, I've been doing more 19th century British & in the last two years, digital games. For now, currently writing about networks of communication & discourse 1850-1930, Lacan, gacha, looter-shooters, and Horizon Zero Dawn.
I'm really glad to have linked back up with so many people from Twitter, and look forward to seeing what this app is all about. 🙂

From what I understand, self-promotion is frowned upon in the #Fediverse, correct? I'm asking because I'm relatively new here, and I want to be sure I'm being fair and practical. On the bird app, I have a dedicated account for my podcast, but I don't need one here, do I? I want to play by the rules and not upset anyone, so what's my best course of action?

Boy, things are going downhill *fast* on the bird app! I'll hate to lose my friends/followers there, but if things go belly-up, at least the people I care about most have my e-mail address to stay in touch with me.

I briefly flirted with turning my story into a #documentary #film, and a director even agreed to come on board. But we've hit a brick wall trying to find someone with cameras and lighting who will help us film an interview we'll edit down to use as a teaser trailer.

So, now I'm going back to my original idea of #writing a #memoir focusing on moments in my life where #Prince's life and #music inspired me to learn and grow into the best version of myself (still a work in progress). @nerdseyeview
