2023 Open Enrollment is still ongoing in 49 states! Here's 13 important things to remember before you #GetCovered!

The 2023 ACA Open Enrollment Period is still ongoing! The initial deadline for January healthcare coverage has passed, but you still have until at least January 15th to #GetCovered in 49 states + DC for coverage starting in February! The 2023 OEP is the best ever for the ACA for several reasons: First, the expanded/enhanced premium subsidies first introduced in 2021 via the American Rescue Plan, which make premiums more affordable for those who already qualified while expanding eligibility to millions who weren't previously eligible, are continuing for at least another 3 years via the Inflation Reduction Act; Second, because several states are either expanding or retooling their own state-based subsidy programs to make ACA plans even more affordable for their enrollees; And third, because millions more Americans who weren't previously eligible for ACA subsidies (even with the expanded ARP/IRA enhancements) are now eligible via the Biden Administration's closure of the so-called "Family Glitch." There's also expanded carrier & plan offerings in many states/counties, and as always, millions of people will be eligible for zero premium comprehensive major medical policies.

1. DON'T MISS THE DEADLINE!

The final #ACA Open Enrollment deadline is Jan. 15th in most states, for coverage starting Feb. 1st (in a few states it's as late as Jan. 31st.) #xp

Here's a table laying out the deadlines for each state. Note that some of these may be extended at the last minute...but don't count on that! #GetCovered sooner rather than later if at all possible! #xp

Saying not to bother with the favourite button on mastodon because it doesn't affect any algorithm is like saying not to say thank you to someone because no one else will hear.

Stop thinking in those old social media ways of engagement and visibility and algorithms and reach and audience and start thinking about being social.

And BOOST! It's how you saw this, probably!

A favourite is a nice thanks, a boost lets everyone else discover the great thing you discovered too!

FOR THE LAST FERSTINKIN' TIME! SAYING THAT YOU HAVE PRIVILEGE DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD FEEL GUILTY, IT MEANS YOU SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SOCIETY IS UNJUST IN WAYS THAT FAVOR YOU AND THAT YOU HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO FIGHT FOR IT TO BE JUST FOR EVERYBODY

GROW UP AND GET TO WORK

Anyone… and I mean ANYONE want to hire my #Canadian wife in the United States? We’ll go anywhere.

I need to get back home, and as quickly as possible.

A green card application for us could take 12-20 months. A work visa would be ideal. She is Master’s level educated, works in #Banking w/ #Tech and #ProjectManagement experience.

I am chronically ill and need help asap.

Boosts appreciated.

Has anybody ever done a compare/contrast of #ttrpg systems by basically running the same one shot over and over?

Like, here's a 3 room dungeon, and you have a fighter, thief and magic-user type. Here's how it goes under 5e. Same setup with OSE. Same with Hyperborea, and so on.
