From today, almost all applications that I am using run on pure #Wayland. Today, #RStudio was updated with full Wayland comptability. The only application that still requires #XWayland is #Xodo #PDFStudio (formerly #Qoppa), which runs on #Java. Does anyone know when Java applications finally will support Wayland?
@linuxallday Probably, this one application is #Gnote and #SimpleScan, which I frequently use for note-taking. All other applications that I rely on are cross-platform: #Thunderbird, #Firefox, #LibreOffice, #R, #RStudio, #Stata, #Zotero, #Xodo #PDFStudio (formerly Qoppa), #Inkscape, #Gimp, #Geany, #Zoom, #TeamsforLinux, #Webex

PDFs gehen by default im #Xodo auf.
Dann hab ich die bekannte Option "Identische Kopie speichern" benutzen wollen, um sie im Telefonspeicher abzulegen.
Tja denkste, das ist mittlerweile ein Pro-Feature. 😐

Fallo mío en primer lugar al no haber bloqueado actualizaciones a Xodo.
No me gusta tener que recomendar una app como #Foxit (que en Windows además sus devs tienen la cara dura de poner bundleware) pero al parecer sí dispone de licencia permanente de un solo pago y funciona sin problemas aunque se le bloqueen permisos y servicios innecesarios.

SunnysideI need to #annotate and highlight #pdfs but I'm real sick of #adobe's bullshit. I've read up on 3rd party software but I'm not sure what's good and what's crap.
Looking into #foxit and #xodo ... but it seems that there's also 'online annotator' sites out there. Are these even safe? Can you download an annotated PDF when you're done?
I'm worried about experimenting because I remember Adobe and it's products being kinda insecure even before you add in 3rd party software.
