PDF editing question for #Apple Mac folks.

I want to redact some content in a document someone else created on a PC using #Adobe. I only have the free version of Adobe reader or whatever it is called now, and really don’t want to buy a subscription. I’ve tried using the Redact tool in Preview, which is the only PDF editor I currently have — this redacts the content but also weirdly deletes random other things (only apparent after closing and reopening 🙇).

What other #pdf editor could I try?
