I don't do word counts because they yuck my low-focus yum. I do checkpoints. My #WritingGoals for Project Mega are:
Herd A-story characters to X part of the story; bonus points if you also get the B-story character to Y part of the story. Triple bonus if you get certain marked characters away from A-story and B-story into C-story. Think of ways to weave in B-story-subplot-A and B-story-subplot-B if vibes.
I blame George R. R. Martin for this nonsense.

My co-writer, based in the US, is in charge of writing the characters that are based in the US. I'm in charge of writing the characters based in the UK.

I'm about to colour code them.

GB's flag is red, white and blue, so I can make GB blue, and... Oh.

Representing countries with one colour when they use the same damn colours in their flags.

My brain just resigned.

It's got outlining, collaboration, notes, productivity features, and draft management.

Some features I have with #ObsidianMD, but others, I don't.

I use G-docs for final drafts of prose, and this would replace that if the price wasn't so 😱
Less cheap people than I might consider it a good deal.

Getting real tired of the brain chaos volume turning all the way up to 1000 whenever I break through writer's block.
It's like... Can we focus on running with this breakthrough instead of worrying about how mavity works and whether or not Noah's son gave birth to Britain? (That last one is a real connection made by Geoffery Ashe in my current read "Mythology of the British Isles").

How do you deal with describing specific character ethnicities?

In screenwriting, it's easy.

"GRAHAM O'BRIEN, early 60s, Essex native, white."
"YASMIN KHAN, late 20s, Sheffielder, Pakistani heritage."
"RYAN SINCLAIR, 19, Sheffielder, Black."

In prose, it's almost exactly the same, but with less direct language, influenced by the prejudice or knowledge of the POV.
