📝 Meeting Notes Sync v0.4.0 for Obsidian is out!

New: merge two duplicate meetings into one.

If MacParakeet and Fellow both record the same meeting under different titles, you used to end up with two folders. Now a single "Merge two meetings…" command folds both into one, combines their notes, removes the leftover, and keeps your meeting numbers sequential.

With just over 2.5 months till my #psychology degree starts, I've begun to rethink my whole #PKM set-up.

Released my first Obsidian plugin: Meeting Notes Sync 🎉

It syncs your meeting transcripts, notes & AI summaries into your vault as plain Markdown — from MacParakeet (via its local CLI, so they stay on your machine) and Fellow.

One folder per meeting, non-destructive. If both tools recorded the same meeting, they merge into one folder instead of two.

Desktop-only, open source, MIT.

Question for the #cybersecurity experts on here: how concerned should I be about unmaintained Obsidian plugins? I just realised all the plugins I use haven't been updated in at least 2 years and I think they're all built with JavaScript which does not fill me with confidence.

I'm on the verge of abandoning the app right now and trying to move my thousands of notes :(

If I do, I'm also open to suggestions. Been test driving Joplin on the side but at least on Mac it doesn't even underline typos
