Wildbienen sind meistens klein und dunkel gefärbt. Diese ist zwar auch dunkel, aber riesig: Eine Blauschwarze Holzbiene labt sich an unserem Muskatellersalbei. Ihr Rücken ist mit hellgelbem Pollen eingestaubt.

Große Holzbiene. Ein Männchen, erkennbar an den orangen Fühler-Segmenten. Zu Hause ist sie in Südeuropa und in den wärmeren Gebieten Mitteleuropas. Sie breitet sich zunehmend in Deutschland aus. Ich habe sie im Schlosspark entdeckt und viele Fotos machen können 😍 Größe: 20-28 mm
