The sad thing is the only reason I used unity is because udk 3 which I had been using at the time didn’t have a built in gui so I switched to unity the when unreal 4 came out initially it had a monthly sub #gamedev #unitytax #unreal

Parker Johnson wrote about #Unity's license fee structure changes in September 2023. I was pleasantly surprised to see Parker mention #GBStudio as an alternative alongside the usual #GameEngine choices (#GodotEngine and #UnrealEngine).
