I literally can go from my door, down the Milwaukee Trail, and then take a spur trail to the crosswalk outside the library, including crossing the river on a pedestrian bridge.
Round trip? 5.2 miles (8.4k).

I went food shopping yesterday morning and stopped dead in my tracks.
Beloved spinach (frozen).
It hasn’t been available here since last October.
I anticipated having it all day, and then, in the evening, I had my glorious spinach.

This mix of moss, pine needles, and plants I’m not familiar with was my trail on my last ridge hike.
Since was no real trail, it was impossible not to walk on what was softer than any carpet I’ve ever encountered.
This was a spot with few needles.
