Calico JesseThe thing about the Time Meddler is it’s nearly impossible to see it with the surprise as it would have been on broadcast. Elizabeth Sandifer (Tardis Eruditorum) argues the story should be called The Saxons or at least The Watcher (first episode title).
While it’s a trope now, before this point historicals didn’t have sci-fi elements in them. Finding another time traveller was a true shock!
