Puro horror lovecraftiano, un virus alienígena que se convierte en huésped de sus víctimas, inspiración para el libro Ciclonopedia de R. Negarestani. 10/10

The 2011 is considered a prequel. It wasn't endorsed by Carpenter & bombed at the theaters. I didn't think it was "that bad" but you need to have seen 1982 1st to make sense of 2011.
1952 is the 1st in the franchise & is made in the same pre-CGI way that all "horror" movies of that era were made which makes it seem comical now but if, like me, you like to see the whole range of a franchise, it is at least a must see for that reason but, if not like that, you're not missing anything if you never see it.
1982 alone is good enough.
