Agi: Terremoto di magnitudo 6.1 al largo della Calabria. La scossa avvertita fino a Palermo

AGI - Un terremoto di magnitudo 6.1 è avvenuto in mare nella zona Costa Calabra nord occidentale (Cosenza), a una profondità di 250 km, dodici minuti dopo la mezzanotte. Il sisma è stato localizzato dalla Sala Sismica INGV-Roma.
L'impatto tellurico è stato avvertito non solo in tutta la Calabria, in particolare a Lamezia e Catanzaro, ma anche in altre regioni del sud d'Italia e perfino a Palermo, dove alcuni residenti lo avrebbero percepito in modo significativo. L'epicentro è stato localizzato a circa 22 km da Belmonte Calabro, sulla costa tirrenica cosentina.
Chiamate ai vigili del fuoco
Numerose le chiamate giunte alle Sale Operative dei Vigili del Fuoco da parte di cittadini che hanno avvertito la scossa. Al momento non risultano segnalazioni di danni né richieste di soccorso correlate all'evento sismico. La situazione resta sotto costante monitoraggio. 
Intervento della Protezione Civile
A seguito dell'evento sismico di magnitudo 6.1 la Sala Situazione Italia del Dipartimento della Protezione Civile si è messa in contatto con le strutture locali del Servizio Nazionale della protezione civile. È quanto si legge in una nota del Dipartimento della Protezione Civile nazionale.
Verifiche e unità di crisi
Sono in corso le verifiche sulle segnalazioni di eventuali danni. Il capo Dipartimento Fabio Ciciliano ha convocato l'Unità di Crisi presso il Dipartimento a Roma.

Earthquake of magnitude 6.1 off the coast of Calabria. The shock felt as far as Palermo.

AGI - A magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred in the sea in the western northwest Costa Calabra (Cosenza) area, at a depth of 250 km, twelve minutes after midnight. The earthquake was located by the INGV-Rome Seismic Monitoring Center.

The telluric impact was felt not only throughout Calabria, particularly in Lamezia and Catanzaro, but also in other regions of southern Italy and even in Palermo, where some residents felt it significantly. The epicenter was located approximately 22 km from Belmonte Calabro, on the Cosentino Tyrrhenian coast.

Fire Department Calls

Numerous calls arrived at the Fire Department Operational Centers from citizens who felt the tremor. At this time, there are no reports of damage or rescue requests related to the seismic event. The situation remains under constant monitoring.

Civil Protection Intervention

Following the magnitude 6.1 seismic event, the Italia Situation Room of the Department of Civil Protection contacted local structures of the National Civil Protection Service. This is what is read in a note from the National Civil Protection Department.

Checks and Crisis Units

Checks are underway on reports of any damage. Department Head Fabio Ciciliano convened the Crisis Unit at the Department in Rome.

Ebola: fever after trip to Uganda, two hospitalized in Milan

MEC - The Ministry of Health communicates, with reference to the epidemic of Bunyavirus-BVD disease that has developed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, that in-depth health investigations are currently underway concerning some individuals who returned in the past hours from Uganda and are undergoing specialist clinical assessment at high-specialized hospital facilities as a precautionary measure.

In particular, two people with febrile symptoms have been transferred to the “Sacco” of Milan, a facility equipped with the highest levels of biocontainment and management of high-risk infectious diseases, where diagnostic tests will be carried out in accordance with national and international protocols.

The other people belonging to the families involved are undergoing health surveillance and monitoring by the competent authorities. The Ministry of Health, through the Department of Prevention, is in contact with the Lombardy Region, which has immediately activated itself.

National and European Coordination on the Ebola Emergency
The Ministry constantly monitors the evolution of the situation relating to the Ebola virus in close coordination with the Regions, the National Institute of Public Health, reference hospital facilities, national health authorities, and all involved entities. Yesterday, the Department of Prevention of the Ministry of Health participated in the HSC-Health Security Committee meeting of the European Commission and organized a national coordination point dedicated to the Ebola situation, with the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence, and Interior, the Crisis Unit, the National Institute of Public Health, the Superior Council of Health, the Inter-Regional Prevention Coordination, the Spallanzani Institute, the Sacco Hospital of Milan, and the San Matteo Hospital of Pavia.

The national system for preparedness and response to infectious emergencies is fully operational, and all procedures for managing suspected cases have been activated. The Ministry of Health will continue to provide official updates based on the evolution of the epidemiological picture and ongoing diagnostic results. The risk in Italy remains very low.

AGI - Sono circa 8.900 i turisti italiani ancora in Medio Oriente: 92 in Bahrein, 948 in Qatar, 6.536 negli Emirati Arabi Uniti e 1.386 in Oman.  Lo ha reso la Farnesina nel fornire un quadro preciso della presenza dei connazionali nella regione.
Sono in partenza oggi ulteriori voli per i connazionali rimasti bloccati per via del conflitto, rende noto la Farnesina, e da Muscat, in Oman, partiranno due voli diretti a Fiumicino, con a bordo un totale di circa 350 italiani.
La Task Force Golfo della Farnesina
All'indomani dello scoppio del conflitto tra Usa e Iran, il ministero degli Esteri ha istituito la Task Force Golfo, che ha raddoppiato la capacità di risposta dell'Unità di Crisi, cui gli italiani che stanno cercando di rientrare possono rivolgersi per chiedere aiuto e che ha già ricevuto 15.000 chiamate, una media di 200 l'ora.
Voli di rimpatrio da Maldive e Thailandia
È prevista inoltre la partenza da Malé, capitale delle Maldive, di due aerei diretti rispettivamente a Fiumicino e Malpensa facilitati dalla Farnesina con a bordo circa 60 passeggeri, principalmente persone fragili. Questi si sommano ai voli commerciali organizzati autonomamente dalle compagnie aeree, al fine di favorire il rimpatrio degli oltre 6.000 turisti italiani in Thailandia e alle Maldive.

AGI - Sono circa 94.800 gli italiani in Medio Oriente e nel Golfo Persico, di cui 9.400 turisti in Bahrein, Qatar, Emirati Arabi Uniti e Oman. Lo ha reso la Farnesina nel fornire un quadro preciso della presenza dei connazionali nella regione.

Questa mattina sono decollati da Muscat due voli diretti a Roma, con a bordo 249 persone.
