Poi ci sono quelli che vogliono rimanere". Lo ha dichiarato il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani ai microfoni di Radio Globo. "Finché ci sono italiani a rischio le ambasciate non chiudono", anche "come segnale politico, proprio perché noi vogliamo continuare il dialogo", ha assicurato il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani a SkyTg24, sottolineando che non è stata chiusa la rappresentanza italiana in Iran. "Abbiamo trasferito l'ambasciatrice e pochi altri funzionari all'ambasciata d'Italia a Baku, da lì continuerà a tenere i rapporti con l'Iran".
"Non vogliamo chiudere le ambasciate, anzi abbiamo mandato rinforzi nei vari Paesi, dall'Oman agli Emirati Arabi, oltre che in Sri Lanka perché c'è bisogno di personale che assista gli italiani", ha aggiunto il titolare della Farnesina. "Siamo l'unico Paese che in ogni aeroporto ha un desk per assistere i concittadini. Ne abbiamo fatti evacuare 10 mila su 100 mila. Stiamo facendo uno sforzo organizzativo massimo", ha assicurato Tajani, sottolineando che "molti italiani si stanno spostando dagli Emirati in Oman perché l'aeroporto di Muscat è aperto".

"C'è un fronte che noi non dobbiamo dimenticare che è quello dell'Ucraina, ci siamo impegnati, abbiamo difeso l'Ucraina, abbiamo deciso di non usare più il gas russo, ci stiamo approvvigionando da altre parti".

AGI - Sono circa 8.900 i turisti italiani ancora in Medio Oriente: 92 in Bahrein, 948 in Qatar, 6.536 negli Emirati Arabi Uniti e 1.386 in Oman.  Lo ha reso la Farnesina nel fornire un quadro preciso della presenza dei connazionali nella regione.
Sono in partenza oggi ulteriori voli per i connazionali rimasti bloccati per via del conflitto, rende noto la Farnesina, e da Muscat, in Oman, partiranno due voli diretti a Fiumicino, con a bordo un totale di circa 350 italiani.
La Task Force Golfo della Farnesina
All'indomani dello scoppio del conflitto tra Usa e Iran, il ministero degli Esteri ha istituito la Task Force Golfo, che ha raddoppiato la capacità di risposta dell'Unità di Crisi, cui gli italiani che stanno cercando di rientrare possono rivolgersi per chiedere aiuto e che ha già ricevuto 15.000 chiamate, una media di 200 l'ora.
Voli di rimpatrio da Maldive e Thailandia
È prevista inoltre la partenza da Malé, capitale delle Maldive, di due aerei diretti rispettivamente a Fiumicino e Malpensa facilitati dalla Farnesina con a bordo circa 60 passeggeri, principalmente persone fragili. Questi si sommano ai voli commerciali organizzati autonomamente dalle compagnie aeree, al fine di favorire il rimpatrio degli oltre 6.000 turisti italiani in Thailandia e alle Maldive.
