Salt River Wild Horses of Arizona. Mustangs believed to have been left behind or escaped from the Spaniards long ago. This handsome stallion had been vigorously defending his territory, from a younger but very persistent chestnut stallion. Bite marks showed the ferocity of their battle for dominance.
