I tried a bit of interval training today. The difference between exertion and recovery could certainly be greater, but running just under half the distance at a 5-minute pace was a good start to hopefully get a bit faster over time.

For the first time in a long time I felt like I was running today.
10-15 minute WU
6x2 min at 9.5mph, rest 1 min
10 min CD
Felt great to get some turnover into those tired legs.

Today's treadmill run went well. Well, I did not blow my knee out. 🤦🤷. Next run is on Saturday and I will be upping the interval pace to 6:30/mile. Good times!

Winter is the perfect time to work on your running cadence. Remember the only way to get faster at running is to increase your cadence.
Try this treadmill workout.
Warm up 10-15 minutes then complete 4-6 intervals, 3 minute intervals that are broken up like this, 1 min overstriding, 1 min regular stride and 1 minute short fat strides. Feel the difference with each cadence. Rest with 1 minute of walking between the 3 minute sets.

Making progress, it’s combined the effort of sportsman and technology. Without technology, I do believe sportsman could archive it eventually, maybe later, working harder. However technology could not do it alone.
